Chelmsford Summer Basketball League
The Chelmsford Summer Basketball Committee through Chelmsford Community Education will again be offering a summer basketball league for boys and girls in grades 1-8 (based on the 2007/2008 school year).
Games will be played Sunday through Thursday nights at the outdoor courts at CHS, with each team playing two games per week. Games will start at 5:00 (Sunday nights only), 6:00, 7:00, or 8:00 (minimal # of 8:00 games with the older age divisions playing at the later times).
Expected divisions, (there will be separate divisions for boys and girls) based on the grade the players finished
in June 2008. The divisions are: Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6, and Grades 7-8.
Requests (coaches, teammates) will be considered but not guaranteed, as the first priority is to make a best effort to balance ability amongst teams. Individual requests regarding nights or times that games will be played cannot be accommodated.
The purpose of the league is to build sportsmanship and confidence and to provide an organized experience to learn and enjoy the game of basketball. All coaches are instructed that players should receive equal playing time. It is understood that children will miss games because of other commitments (vacation, other sports, etc.).

Game Season: July 7 – August 17, 2008, tTournaments start August 18
Time: Between 5:00pm & 8:00pm
Tuition: $70.00 per child, Max per family $175.00; after May 30 a $15.00 late fee applies.
