Summer Activities 2012
Information regarding our 2012 summer activities will be available in April or May of 2012. Since many of the activities are likely to remain the same, the following information from last summer will give you an idea of what we offered.
Dear Community Members,
Welcome to the Summer Catalog from our friends at Chelmsford Community Education. Spring is typically a very busy time of year for all of us as we prepare ourselves and our families for a wide variety of outdoor activity. This year, people seem to be even more engaged in their summer planning as they long to push the memories of a heavy,never-ending winter behind them. Our staff at Community Education feels the same way and it is with that sense or urgency that they have put together a wonderful collection of offerings for you and your whole family this summer.
As we tell our students, keep working hard, stay focused and summer will be here before you know it. The same applies for the hard working adults in our town. Sometimes summer is here before we know it! So please take a few minutes to review this catalog now before it is too late to take advantage of the wide assortment of offerings provided by the Chelmsford Community Education staff.

INFORMATION:
WHO MAY ATTEND: Enrollment in Chelmsford Community Education programs is open to all. Please note there are some age requirements. We welcome participation from other communities.
REGISTRATION: print the registration form, using the link to the left, for MOST activities listed above, except for Basketball, Summerfest, Summer School, Trips and Music Lessons.
TRIPS require separate registration forms; available using the link to the left, or at the CommEdCenter.
SUMMERFEST requires a separate registration form. You will find the link on the left.
MUSIC LESSONS requires a separate registration form. You will find the link on the left.
SUMMER BASKETBALL—ONLINE registration only, using the link on the left.
SUMMER SCHOOL—ONLINE registration only, using the link on the left.
PAYMENT: Include credit card information, or enclose a check or money order payable to Town of Chelmsford/CommEd.
• Registrations are accepted in person at the Community Education Office weekdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The address is 170 Dalton Road, Chelmsford, MA 01824.
• Registrations are accepted by mail.
• Registration forms can be faxed to 978-251-5154. After faxing, send the original form and payment to the above address.
Early registration assures you a place in the program and protects against course cancellations due to insufficient enrollment. Once the registration is sent, students should consider their registrations accepted, unless otherwise notified. No confirmations are sent, however, you are welcome to call our office to verify receipt. Late registration will be accepted on a space available basis.
FEES: Fees represent the cost of administering the Chelmsford Community Education program and have been set to make Community Education self-supporting. Additional fees for books, supplies, or materials may be listed in the course description. We reserve the right to cancel any program with insufficient enrollment. A $10.00 discount is given to senior citizens, 60 and over (with the exception of trips and music lessons).
SUMMER REFUND POLICY: All program/class fees are refundable if there is insufficient enrollment. Students withdrawing two weeks before the start date of the program/class will be charged a $10.00 processing fee. NO REFUNDS are given for withdrawal after that time.
Most TRIPS have a NO REFUND POLICY. Please refer to individual registration forms for details.
CANCELLATIONS: Call the CommEd office, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, if you are wondering if a day program will run. The decision to cancel an evening program will be made by 2:30 PM. For adult evening tennis: call Next Champions Tennis at 978‑369‑8747 after 3:00 PM. Check our website or watch Chelmsford Cable Television (Channel 8, 10 or 22) or call the Community Education Office at 978-251-5151 for cancellation information.
