TITLE OF POSITION:

Community Education – Extended Day Program.
Site Supervisor for Harrington Elementary School

DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:

Site Supervisor will take responsibility for supervision, staffing, ordering supplies, and overall coordination with the Community Education Office.  He/She will act as liaison with the building principal and parents.

REPORTS TO:

Director of Community Education

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with children either in a daycare or classroom setting.  Demonstrated ability to coordinate, communicate and assume a program responsibility.

HOURS:

Site Supervisor will be required to work a minimum of 10-15 hours per week, September through June at the assigned building, and be expected to be on call for emergency situations which may arise, such as weather or late pickup.

SALARY:

Supervisor will receive an annual stipend of $2,286.59 for coordination responsibilities, plus hourly compensation for time worked on site.

START DATE:

Immediately

MATH TEACHER WANTED!

Chelmsford Community Education’s evening class program is looking for an SAT instructor math portion of the test.  The next session of classes begins on March 8, 2012, for 7 Thursday evenings, from 7:00-9:00 pm, at Chelmsford High School.

This class prepares students for the Math SAT exam using the College Board’s Official Study Guide, which we provide.  The course is designed to reduce anxiety and increase test scores.  Class is limited to 18 students, and the salary is $462 per 7-week session.

Registered Nurses for Chelmsford Community Education part-time Childcare Programs:
Summerfest (full-day childcare)
Before- and After-School Extended Day (7:00-9:00 a.m. and/or 3:15-6:00 p.m.)
Vacations & Snow days (full-day)

We are seeking energetic and team-oriented individuals for the position of Part Time Registered Nurse in the Chelmsford Community Education Childcare Program to start immediately.  Duties include, but are not limited to:  providing health services to students and staff in the Community Education Childcare Programs; assisting with completion of medical records for program activities; collecting medical information and preparing records for incoming students; comprehension of the health needs of children; collecting and evaluating student health data to form a nursing diagnosis and nursing care plan; collaborating with school health partners to ensure quality of health care provided to children; the ability to work with minimal medical supervision; and assistance in supervising children in the program when not needed for nursing duties. Other duties may include participation in school health and wellness, safety or emergency preparedness planning committees.

Minimum requirements include: a valid license as a Registered Nurse with the Massachusetts Board of Registration; a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; and, current and valid certification in CPR and First Aid. Strong preference will be given for previous relevant school health experience.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.25/hour.   The work hours of this position vary depending on the needs of the program, but will fall between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
