OUR K/CC PROGRAM is located at

In order to provide for kindergarten children on their off session, a full school day combined Kindergarten/Childcare (K/CC) Program will be offered at the Chelmsford Community Education Center at 170 Dalton Road. The Kindergarten/Childcare Program is only available on a five-day per week basis.

Important note for your planning purposes:  There is a delay of three business days after we have received all required paperwork before your child can attend our Childcare Programs.  This does not include the day we receive the paperwork.

Morning session kindergartners who are only using the half-day Kindergarten/Childcare Program can take the regularly scheduled busses to their elementary schools. At the mid-day break, students will go to the K/CC classrooms in the CommEd Center. Children must be picked up by 3:15.

For afternoon session kindergartners who are only using the half-day Kindergarten/Childcare Program: Children can be dropped off at the CommEd Center at 9:00 a.m. At the mid-day break, children will be bussed to their scheduled elementary schools.

The monthly cost, which includes mid-day transportation, hot/cold lunch and snacks, is $325.00 per month. Payments have been broken down into equal monthly payments for the ten months of the school year, September through June. The first month’s tuition payment is due with this application. Thereafter, tuition payments are due the first day of each month for that month.

Parents who enroll their children in the Kindergarten/Childcare Program are also eligible to take advantage of the Extended Day Program (7:00 - 9:00 a.m. and/or 3:18 - 6:00 p.m.). A separate application is required for this service. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IF YOU ALSO PLAN TO USE THE EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM!

Morning session kindergartners who need before-school care (as early as 7:00 a.m.) can be dropped off at their scheduled elementary schools. At the mid-day break, kindergartners will be bussed to the CommEd Center's K/CC Program. Afternoon session kindergarten parents needing before-school care should drop their children off at the CommEd Center's Extended Day Program.

Morning session kindergartners who need after-school care (until as late as 6:00 p.m.) will use the CommEd Center's Extended Day Program. Afternoon session kindergarten parents who need after-school care may pick up their children at the scheduled elementary schools.
