ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE
CONSOLIDATION OF OUR OFFICE &
THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT

Superintendent of Schools Donald Yeoman and Town Manager Paul Cohen are pleased to announce that all programs of Chelmsford Community Education and the Chelmsford Recreation Department will be managed through the Community Education Office effective January 7, 2008.

The Community Education Office remains in Chelmsford High School, and Recreation Department Assistant Muriel Minkle will continue to staff the Recreation Office at the Town Offices until further notice. Throughout the consolidation process, all services will continue to be provided to Chelmsford residents and those in the Greater Merrimack Valley Area. During the transition, we know that there will be questions. Please feel free to contact the Community Education staff at 978-251-5151 or CommEd@chelmsford.k12.ma.us. Thank you for your support and patience during this time of transition.

COURSE CATALOGUES are mailed in January and August to each home in Chelmsford, North Chelmsford, Billerica, North Billerica, Dracut, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro and Westford.

ADD TO OUR LIST: If you do not live in one of the communities listed above and would like to be placed on our mailing list, please contact us (CommEd@Chelmsford.k12.ma.us or 978-251-5151) and specify ADULT ED. mailing list.

Early registration assures you a place in the course and protects against course cancellations due to insufficient enrollment. Once the registration is sent, students should consider their registration accepted and report to the first class unless otherwise notified. No confirmations are sent, however, you are welcome to call our office to verify receipt. Late registration on the first night of classes will be accepted on a space available basis.

FEES: Fees represent the cost of administering the Chelmsford Community Education program and have been set to make Community Education self-supporting. Additional fees for books, supplies, or materials may be listed in the course description. We reserve the right to cancel any course with insufficient enrollment.

SENIOR CITIZENS: A $10.00 discount is given to all senior citizens.

REFUNDS: All fees are refundable if there is insufficient enrollment. Students withdrawing before the first class will be charged a $10.00 processing fee.
